On Sunday evening, Iowa received a verbal commitment from 3-star safety Dane Belton. A little more than 30 minutes later, Iowa landed another recruit from the Class of 2019, as 3-star guard Justin Britt committed to the Hawkeyes as well.
Britt — a 6-foot-4, 286-pound offensive lineman from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis — announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes on Twitter.

“First off I would like to thank all of the schools and recruiters who have gave me a chance to play at the next level,” Britt wrote on Twitter. “It is an honor to be seen as a player who can play at the college level. I would also like to thank my family. Without them I wouldn’t be anything. They have given me the love and space I needed to make this decision. A special thanks to all the Warren Central athletics staff members and coaches. Thanks for believing in me and never giving up on me. I would be nothing without Dub-C. With all that being said I am glad to say that I will be furthering my education and my athletic career at The University of Iowa.”
Britt also received offers from Minnesota, Michigan State, Louisville, Arizona and Purdue, among others.
247Sports 2019 composite rankings have Britt as the No. 7-ranked prospect in Indiana, the No. 17-ranked offensive guard and the No. 501-ranked overall recruit in the Class of 2019.
With Britt’s commitment, Iowa’s Class of 2019 ranks No. 25 in the nation and No. 7 in the Big Ten.
