IOWA CITY, Iowa, — The injuries continue to pile up for Iowa on Saturday. After losing running backs Akrum Wadley and James Butler, tight end Noah Fant left the North Texas game with an injury. The medical staff looked at his left shoulder in the second half. Fant returned late in the fourth quarter.
Fant held his left arm after an Iowa rushing play in the second half and immediatley ran to the sideline. The medical staff took of Fant’s shoulder pads and looked at his left shoulder. Fant had arguably the biggest play in the game for the Hawkeyes. He caught a 23-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-five to put the Hawkeyes up 17-14 in the third quarter.
