Iowa offered Georgia linebacker Jayden McDonald on Sunday, as Rob Howe of reported. This is an interesting situation. McDonald is a Rutgers commit but didn’t sign in the December signing period. The Hawkeyes are making a push for the 3-star prospect late in the recruiting process and are likely to get a visit.

Midlands recap

Iowa wrestling wrapped up an impressive run at the Midlands Championships over the weekend. The Hawkeyes had a program-record five champions, including Alex Marinelli, who was named the Champion of Champions. K.J. Pilcher of the Cedar Rapids Gazette recaps the results.
