Another day, another commit. Iowa football got good news on Saturday afternoon as Jalen Hunt — a 3-star defensive end, according to 247Sports — announced on social media he was joining the Hawkeyes:

Hunt is now the 11th player to commit to Iowa for 2019. Prior to his announcement, the Hawkeyes owned the No. 36 class nationally and No. 10 class in the Big Ten.
Earlier this month, the 6-foot-3, 235-pound prospect made it known that Iowa was among the teams in his top 5. The Michigan State Spartans were the only other Big Ten team to make Hunt’s list.
Hunt is from Belleville, Mich. and is ranked as the No. 44 strongside defensive end and No. 17 player in the state of Michigan for 2019. All four Crystal Ball predictions from 247Sports had the prospect choosing Iowa.
The pass-rushing end is the second defensive end in Iowa’s class, joining Jake Karchinski.
