The game will take place on Sept. 25, 2021, leaving just one nonconference game open for that season. Iowa will also face Iowa State that season. Iowa has never faced Colorado State, a Mountain West team that is 6-5 so far in the 2017 season.
With Colorado State added to the schedule, here’s a look at all of the Hawkeyes’ nonconference opponents on future schedules:
Iowa went 3-0 against nonconference opponents in 2017, including a 44-41 win on the road at Iowa State on Sept. 9. The Hawkeyes, who are 6-4 through 10 games, close out their regular season vs. Purdue this Saturday and then travel to face Nebraska in Lincoln on Black Friday.
