Iowa basketball guard Brady Ellingson to transfer, per report
Brady Ellingson will not return to the Iowa basketball program next season, as the redshirt junior will play his final season of eligibility elsewhere, according to a report by Hawkeye Heaven’s Levi Thompson.
As a graduate transfer, Ellingson will be immediately eligible to play next season, according to NCAA rules.

While it is currently unknown where Ellingson will end up playing next season, it doesn’t come as a surprise that he is moving on from Iowa.
This season with the Hawkeyes, Ellingson played in 26 games and averaged 11 minutes per game. In those 26 games, he averaged 2.8 points and 1.1 assists while shooting 41.2 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from 3-point range.
Ellingson saw his minutes and production diminish this season, as he was averaging 14.2 minutes per game in 34 games in the 2016-17 season. In that season, he averaged 4.4 points, 1.1 assists and 1.1 rebounds while shooting 44.1 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.
