Third baseman Lorenzo Elion provided one of the top highlights of Iowa baseball’s season this weekend.
In a Saturday game against Ohio State, Elion made a diving stop on a sharply hit ground ball to the hot corner and threw the runner out at first base. Elion’s web gem was No. 8 on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays on

Despite Elion’s impressive play, the Hawkeyes dropped the first game of a doubleheader against Ohio State on Saturday. Iowa was victorious in the second game, however, and entered Sunday’s series finale with an 18-10 record on the season.
