DeVries was a consensus football All-American in 1998 and holds the school record for single-season tackles for loss (22), career tackles for loss (78) and career sacks (42).
Hatcher was an All-American baseball player at Iowa in 1989 and earned first-team All-Big Ten honors in 1989 and 1990. Lynch made first-team all-conference in women’s soccer from 1999 to 2001. Maday was a three-time gymnastics All-American from 2002-04. Wrestler Jeff McGinness won the 1995 NCAA Championship at 126 pounds. Sanders was a second-team All-American at safety in 2003.
