Marvin McNutt was Iowa’s all-time leading receiver and took a shot at the NFL.
Though his playing days are done, McNutt isn’t done with football.
The Cedar Rapids Titans of the Indoor Football League announced on Tuesday that McNutt is their new head coach.

While at Iowa from 2008 to 2011, McNutt became the Hawkeyes’ star receiver. He finished his college with 170 receptions for a school record 2,861 yards and 28 touchdowns. As a senior in 2011, McNutt made 82 catches for 1,315 yards and 12 touchdowns.
McNutt was a sixth-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles but was most recently with the Carolina Panthers, before getting released in 2014.
According to the release, McNutt agreed to a two-year contract with the Titans.
