Come on down

Iowa football isn’t big on the whole early enrollee thing. Nonetheless, Dillon Doyle and Spencer Petras wanted to do it out of high school. They explained why it was the right move for them to Land of 10.

Mark it down

Matt Miller of Bleacher Report put together his first two-round mock draft of the year. Right now, he sees cornerback Josh Jackson as a top-15 pick. Click here to see which Midwestern team Miller projected would select Jackson.

Talking about comebacks

The Minnesota Vikings’ miracle win on Sunday led Land of 10 to take a look at two of the biggest comeback wins in Iowa history. One is from football. The other is from men’s basketball. Can you guess what they are?

Feeling the Saints’ pain

New Orleans is on the flip side of the Vikings victory. The Hawkeyes know how the Saints feel. They, too, were victimized by Stefon Diggs, who scored the 61-yard game-winning touchdown on Sunday. Mike Hlas of The (Cedar Rapids) Gazette looks back at a 53-yard screen pass Diggs scored against Iowa while at Maryland in 2014.

Change the narrative

The wrestling win against Oklahoma State on Sunday was big. How big? It likely altered the trajectory of the season for the Hawkeyes.

Just a thought

Iowa wrestling looked good last weekend. The Des Moines Register’s Cody Goodwin wrote about how the team could look even better in the near future. In particular, he explains how getting Pat Downey to wrestle at 184 pounds would be a potential game changer, if the Hawkeyes can land him.
