Following a weekend visit to Iowa City, Hawkeyes cornerback recruit D.J. Johnson reaffirmed his commitment to Iowa. Johnson was offered by LSU last week.
“A great weekend I’ll never forget with my brothers. Official visit was a success,” Johnson wrote on Twitter. “Proud to be a Hawkeye.”

Johnson is rated as a 3-star recruit and the No. 46 cornerback in the 2018 class in the 247Sports composite rankings. An Indianapolis native, Johnson got an offer from LSU last Monday. He also holds an offer from Notre Dame, but Johnson seems fully committed to Iowa with less than two weeks before the early signing period.
Johnson is the third-highest rated commit in Iowa’s 2018 class, which has 14 members after tight end Anthony Torres flipped his commitment from the Hawkeyes to Western Michigan. He committed to Iowa on Aug. 22.
The most-recent visit for Johnson was part of a busy recruiting weekend for the Hawkeyes.
