Earlier this week it was announced that Chad Greenway would be joining other former Iowa greats on the program’s Wall of Honor. It’s not the only way the ex-Hawkeye will be recognized Saturday night.
Greenway will also serve as an honorary captain during Iowa’s game against No. 4 Penn State, the team announced Friday. Greenway, who starred at Iowa from 2002-2005, will accompany Iowa’s captains during the pregame coin toss and also be in the team’s locker room before and after the game.

Greenway was a second-team All-American in 2005, his senior season. He had 156 tackles that season, the third-best mark in Iowa history.
Greenway went on to be a first-round draft pick and spent 11 seasons in the NFL, all with the Minnesota Vikings.
