Carver-Hawkeye Arena to get new floor, screens, speakers
Carver-Hawkeye Arena is getting a facelift.
Iowa’s 15,400 seat basketball stadium is getting a new floor, video screens and speakers, according to a tweet from assistant basketball coach, Kirk Speraw.

Carver-Hawkeye opened its doors in 1983 and hosts Iowa’s wrestling, gymnastics and volleyball teams in addition to men’s and women’s basketball.
The Hawkeyes men’s basketball team reached as high as No. 3 in the AP poll last season. Iowa went 13-2 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and just 8-9 away from home.
