Josh Jackson’s interception sealed the deal — if the game wasn’t essentially decided already — on Ohio State’s second loss of the season. His one-handed snag midway through the fourth quarter came when the Hawkeyes led the Buckeyes 48-17.
The eventual 31-point thrashing had a lot to do with ending the Buckeyes’ College Football Playoff hopes. Ohio State finished the regular season ranked No. 5, while No. 4 Alabama took the final spot.
Jackson led not only all Hawkeyes or Big Ten players in interceptions this year, but he led the entire country with his 8. Only two other players in the nation recorded 7.
