Some oddsmakers won’t be fans of Iowa this fall.
That’s because the Hawkeyes present the biggest liability of any national title bet at CG Technology, according to ESPN’s David Purdum. They opened at 100-to-1 and have been dropped to 20-to-1 at the Vegas book thanks to a series of big bets.
Iowa’s odds to win the Big Ten have fallen, too, from 7-to-1 to 3-1 at CG. It’s not the only team in the conference attracting attention from books, though.
Michigan has had the second most money bet on it to win the national title at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. Ohio State is fourth. By ticket count, the Wolverines and Buckeyes are No. 1 and No. 2.
Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett, listed at around 12-to-1 to win the Heisman, has had the fifth most money bet to capture the award.
