Padilla becomes the 10th member of Iowa’s recruiting Class of 2019. At 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, Padilla ranks as the No. 29 pro-style quarterback and No. 7 recruit in Colorado on the 247Sports composite database.
He’ll have plenty of time to develop for the Hawkeyes. Junior Nate Stanley is entrenched as Iowa’s starter. Sophomore Peyton Mansell and freshman Spencer Petras are behind Stanley on the depth chart.
