Indiana has a new addition in the form of a two-way, in-state commitment.
Peyton Hendershot, a 3-star tight end and outside linebacker from Tri-West Hendricks High School (Lizton, Ind.), announced his commitment to the Hoosiers on Twitter Tuesday evening.
“First off I want to start by saying thanks to all schools who have continued to recruit me,” Hendershot said in a note on Twitter. “But after talking with my family I have decided to verbally commit to Indiana University.”
Hendershot initially committed to Ball State on March 21, but he backed off of that commitment late last month. Now, the versatile prospect appears to be heading to the Big Ten.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Hendershot is rated as the No. 48 tight end prospect in the Class of 2017 and the No. 18 overall prospect from the state of Indiana regardless of position.
