Although ex-Hooisers forward OG Anunoby is still recovering from a knee injury just 10 days before the NBA draft, he received some positive news on Monday.
According to FanRag Sports’ Jon Rothstein, Anunoby is on track to return to full strength in late November or early December. He suffered the injury against Penn State on Jan. 18 and sat out the remainder of the season. Before his extended absence, the 6-foot-8, 235-pound wing was producing 11.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
The Jefferson City, Mo. native originally declared for the draft on April 10, departing Indiana University as a sophomore.
In DraftExpress’ latest mock draft, Aunoby is projected to be selected by the Portland Trailblazers at No. 15 overall. A source also told Rothstein that he should be taken anywhere from ninth to 19th overall.
