Sporting News released its 2017 NBA Draft prospect rankings and three Big Ten players were included. Indiana sophomore forward OG Anunoby ranks 15th, Michigan State freshman forward Miles Bridges is 27th and Indiana sophomore center Thomas Bryant ranks 30th.
Anunoby is the prototype of a versatile wing, according to Sporting News.
“Anunoby profiles to be able to defend every position on the floor in switches at some point in his career — watch how he shut down Jamal Murray in the NCAA Tournament last year — and his jump shot is improving quickly,” Sporting News wrote.
Sporting News on Bridges: “Powerful is the best way to describe Bridges’ athleticism at this stage of his development. He has an NBA-ready frame in terms of strength already, but at 6-6 he’s still more of a true 4 right now.”
On Bryant: “If he can improve his agility and become an adequate defender on the perimeter, he’ll be a first round pick due to his size, length, and interesting offensive game.”
