Indiana’s Kevin Wilson ‘disappointed’ in suspended players
Kevin Wilson elaborated on the decision to suspend six players prior to Indiana’s season-opening win against FIU on Thursday.
Jake Attar, Simmie Cobbs, Chase Dutra, Ralph Green, Noel Padmore and Wesley Green were all sidelined for the opener, the Hoosiers announced close to kickoff against the Panthers. Wilson spoke about it following the game.
“It is what it is. Nothing new,” Wilson told reporters afterward, according to the Indianapolis Star. “Disappointed, but have known for a while. We had a couple guys that just missed some team (workouts) back in the summer.”
It appears five of the players will return next week when the Hoosiers host Ball State in their home opener. However, Green – a transfer from South Carolina – is suspended indefinitely.
“There’s expectations and standards. You don’t follow through with it, it’s disappointing,” Wilson added.
