Indiana star running back Devine Redding is going to the NFL.
Redding announced his decision Friday afternoon on Twitter.
“I have decided that now is the time for me to pursue that lifelong dream. I have decided to forgo my final year of eligibility and will declare for the NFL Draft,” Redding said in a statement.
“I did not arrive at this decision easily, and I want to reiterate my sincerest thanks to all of the coaches, staff, and teammates who have made reaching this goal possible.”

Devine Redding’s Indiana statistics:
- 2016: 253 carries for 1,122 yards, 7 TDs
- 2015: 226 carries for 1,012 yards, 9 TDs
- 2014: 29 carries for 118 yards, TD
Redding’s departure continues a trend of Indiana running backs leaving for the NFL. Tevin Coleman and Jordan Howard left early the past two years.
