The 2018 Elite 11 regional in Charlotte, N.C., took place Sunday, and the area’s best of the Class of 2019 were put to the test with a number of drills.
They included the 40-yard dash, vertical jump and power ball throw. Indiana commit Emery Simmons was among those taking part. But when it came to performance, few could measure up to the Hope Mills (N.C.) South View High wide receiver.
Currently a 3-star recruit and the No. 74 receiver in his class per the 247Sports composite rankings, Simmons looks like he’s in line for a bump in those numbers thanks to his testing Sunday.
