Former Indiana guard Yogi Ferrell was waived by the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, the team announced on Twitter.

The move brings the Nets’ roster to 15 players with the NBA regular season less than a week from tipping off. Ferrell, who signed with Brooklyn in August after playing with the organization’s Summer League team, averaged 4.3 points in three preseason games.
The 6-foot, 180-pound guard averaged 17.1 points and 6.1 assists while helping the Hoosiers reach the the Sweet 16 last year. Ferrell also owns the all-time assists record at Indiana.
Ferrell now could spend time playing for the Long Island Nets of the D-League, according to CBS Sports.
