Following former Indiana basketball coach Bob Knight’s controversial comments on the “Dan Patrick Show” Friday morning, CBS Sports writer Matt Norlander wrote in a column that the university should ban Knight from the campus for life.
Bob Knight is pathetic and bitter, and Indiana should ban him from ever stepping on campus again. Column: https://t.co/h9Y16dpvug

After Patrick asked Knight why fans wanted so badly to see him back in Bloomington Assembly Hall, Knight praised the Hoosiers fans before going on to say that he has ““absolutely no respect whatsoever” for the Indiana higher-ups who were there when he was coaching.
He also took it a step further by saying he hoped all of them were dead, and doubled down when Patrick offered the opportunity to backtrack the strong comments.
Norlander argued that Knight’s comments were too much, and should be the final straw for Indiana:
Indiana shouldn’t welcome him. In fact, in light of Knight’s abhorrent quotes to millions over public radio on Friday, the school should ban him for life. Endorsing the deaths of school administrators is crossing the line. Knight lived far too long doing what he wanted to do, saying what he wanted to say, choking who he wanted to choke.
