Indiana lost one of the key pieces to its 2018 recruiting class on Thursday night when 3-star athlete Cam Jones announced his de-commitment.
Jones, who committed on April 2, said Indiana remains a “top school” and he plans to take another trip to Bloomington, but he decided to explore other options.

Jones, from Cordova, Tenn., also has offers from Tennessee, Memphis and Louisville. Considered the 31st-best recruit from Tennessee in his class, Jones attended the Vols’ spring game last month and has also visited Memphis.
Without Jones, Indiana’s 2018 class is down to just three verbal commits.
At 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, Jones plays multiple positions in high school, including wide receiver.
