Bob Knight is not softening with age.
The coach had plenty to say when asked about giving closure to the Indiana program on the “Dan Patrick Show” on Friday morning, saying he has “absolutely no respect whatsoever” for the Indiana hierarchy and that he has “no interest in ever going back to that university.”

Knight’s words only got stronger from there, as the following exchange then occurred.

One of the people Patrick and Knight are likely referring to is Myles Brand, who passed away in 2009 and famously fired Knight because of a zero tolerance policy after a former player alleged the coach choked him in a practice. Knight has had bad blood for Indiana ever since, a complicated and awkward relationship for the storied program and its fans.
