Indiana’s annual Hoosier Hysteria not only marks the official start of Indiana’s college basketball season, but offers fans a first look at the men’s and women’s players on the court. It also serves as big opportunity for recruiting.
That second fact may be particularly critical this year, as there may be more than a few eyes focused on someone in the crowd, and not on the floor.
Class of 2017 forward Billy Preston, a 5-star power forward from Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, will make Hoosier Hysteria one of his five official visits, according to TheHoosier.com. Preston is the top-rated player in Virginia and the nation’s No. 12 overall prospect.

The event, which according to Indiana athletics includes skits, skill contests, videos, scrimmages and autographs, is set for Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m.
Preston announced his top five schools — Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, N.C. State and USC, in no order — in September.
