Chance the Rapper had quite a night Sunday at the Grammys. The Chicagoan cleaned up, winning three awards. On Wednesday, he got a Twitter shoutout from Illinois coach Lovie Smith.

Chance, who’s just 23, won for Best New Artist, Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Performance. He also won the distinction of being Lovie’s “new favorite artist.”
And Chance didn’t let Lovie’s accolades fall on deaf ears.
Thank you man you're a legend thanks for all you've done for Chicago and Champaign https://t.co/jVTuLBzrcn
