Illinois and Missouri football will renew the their rivalry starting in 2026.
Illinois announced on Monday that the Illini and the Tigers will meet four consecutive years starting in 2026 and continuing through 2029.
“Resuming our series with Missouri will be a great thing,” Illinois coach Lovie Smith said in the official release. “The schools represent great conferences, they represent border states, and the schools compete in several other sports, including the Braggin’ Rights Series in basketball. This is just a natural fit.”

Illinois and Missouri have played 24 times. The Tigers are 17-7 against the Illini. In the most recent meeting, Missouri won 23-13 in 2010 in St. Louis.
