Illinois freshman Da’Monte Williams was cleared for “all basketball activities,” according to coach Brad Underwood on Monday. Williams, a 3-star point guard from Peoria, Ill., has been recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee.

Williams was the No. 6 player in Illinois for 2017 and a top-200 player overall, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Indiana also offered him, but the 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard chose the Illini in 2016.

Illinois opens the season against Southern on Nov. 10.
