Lovie Smith and Illinois added to their 2018 recruiting class Tuesday with the commitment of Braeden Daniels, a 3-star offensive tackle from Carrollton, Texas.

Daniels is the No. 132 offensive tackle in his class, according to 247Sports. He chose Illinois over Boise State, Houston, Memphis, Utah and others.
With Daniels committed, Illinois’ 2018 recruiting class has grown to 13 members. Daniels is the fourth offensive lineman in the group, which ranks No. 14 in the Big Ten.
