There may be some changes going on at Illinois, but that isn’t changing Trent Frazier’s mind.
Frazier, one of the top basketball recruits in the Fighting Illini’s class of 2017, reaffirmed his commitment to Illinois on Twitter Saturday night.
His message came on the same day the university hired Brad Underwood as the program’s new head coach.
Will not be decommitting. For next 4 years I will be continuing at The University of Illinois??Looking forward to play for an awesome coach!!

Frazier is one of three 4-star recruits in the Illini’s 2017 class. According to 247Sports, Frazier is the ninth-best recruit in the state of Florida and the 26th-best point guard prospect in the nation.
However, he was the last to commit to Illinois, as his two 4-star counterparts, guard DaMonte Williams and forward Jeremiah Tilmon, committed on Feb. 28 and July 11, respectively.
Illinois’ four-man recruiting class of 3-star shooting guard Javon Pickett, Williams, Tilmon and Frazier has the Illini ranked as the best recruiting class in the Big Ten, and the 11th-best class in the nation.
There isn’t official word yet on whether Williams and Tilmon will also reaffirm their commitments.
