To have a successful road trip, you need to have excellent music, snacks and good company.
So who would college coaches bring with them on a long road trip?
ESPN’s Twitter put together a short video, with many coaches mentioning their wives and Jesus Christ.
That includes Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio.
“Our Lord Jesus Christ,” Dantonio makes clear.
“God, yeah, no kidding,” Washington State coach Mike Leach said.
It’s no surprise that Leach is the video MVP. First, he wonders why someone would bring Chevy Chase — that would be Colorado’s Mike MacIntyre.
Toward the end is when it gets weird and really funny.
Syracuse coach Dino Babers would bring Jon Snow, “Lord of the North,” and the dragons while Utah’s Kyle Whittingham would bring Bill Murray and Abraham Lincoln.
“Geronimo, the Apache warrior,” Leach said. “Blackbeard the pirate and Winston Churchill.”
