You’re building a football team.
You get one pick between Michigan linebacker/running back/special teams/do-it-all Jabrill Peppers and Penn State’s electrifying running back Saquon Barkley.
Who are you taking?
Big Ten Network analysts Dave Wannstedt and Glen Mason discussed that question on Big Ten Football and Beyond this afternoon and they were split on the decision.
You get to pick one guy to start your team.

Mason went first and said he’d take Peppers. The Wolverines’ athlete has three touchdowns as a running back, a special teams touchdown and has made multiple plays in the defensive backfield as a linebacker and defensive back.
“You’re on the playground as a kid, you’re choosing up sides. You get the first pick. Who are you going to pick?” Mason said. “I’m going to take Peppers. Look at all the positions he can play.”
Wannstedt then said Barkley was the easy pick for him.
Mason then asked who he’d play at quarterback, and Wannstedt said whoever can hand it off to Barkley.
The Nittany Lion sophomore has 1,055 yards thus far on the ground this season with 11 touchdowns. He’s also got 15 catches for 257 yards and two touchdowns.
“I’m going to the wildcat,” said Wannstedt. “Barkley can catch. He can return kicks. He takes pressure off your quarterback. He helps your offensive line. He helps your defense.”
