Three Big Ten coaches made the top 10 cut of Sporting News’ ranking for the best 130 college football head coaches in 2017.
Michigan State’s Mark Dantonio came in at No. 10, Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh was listed at No. 5 and OSU’s Urban Meyer is placed second behind guess who? Nick Saban.
Harbaugh is the highest ranked coach on the list that has never won a national championship, however has posted back-to-back 10 win seasons.
For Meyer, Sporting News has the Buckeyes as the No. 3 team in college football heading into next season so they’re expecting a big year in Columbus, Ohio in 2017.
