Making up the rest of Horton-Tucker’s top schools are Kansas, Missouri, St. Louis, Xavier, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Dayton, Iowa State and Georgetown.
According to 247Sports composite rankings, the 6-foot-5, 210-pound Horton-Tucker is ranked as the fourth-best prospect in the state of Illinois and the 28th-best small forward prospect nationally.
He’s a 4-star prospect from Simeon High School, one of Chicago’s most well-known basketball powerhouses, which produced the likes of current NBA players Derrick Rose, Jabari Parker and Jahlil Okafor.
Horton-Tucker currently holds 19 scholarship offers, including offers from Purdue, Northwestern and UNLV. It should be noted, however, that of Horton-Tucker’s top 13 schools, Michigan and St. Louis have yet to offer him a scholarship.
