Iowa is still looking for a quarterback to fill a spot in its 2019 class now that Max Duggan has committed to TCU. Michigan does already have 4-star prospect Cade McNamara committed in the Class of 2019, but it’s early enough in the recruiting cycle that teams have to be prepared for anything.
Johnson attends Walled Lake High School in Walled Lake, Mich. He’s rated as the No. 20 pro-style quarterback and No. 15 recruit in the state of Michigan for the 2019 class on the 247Sports composite recruiting database.
