While the Big Ten football season rolled in in Week 10, the conference’s men’s basketball teams were going through final preparations before their season starts.

More than half of the Big Ten will be in action when the college basketball season tips off on Friday, and most played their final exhibition games over the weekend.

Here are the highlights.

No. 11 Indiana 73, Bellarmine 49

The Hoosiers smothered Division II Bellarmine (Kentucky), forcing 20 turnovers in a blowout win Saturday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

OG Anunoby led all scorers with 25 points. Thomas Bryant had 11 points and eight rebounds, and James Blackmon Jr. scored all 10 of his points in the second half.

No. 25 Maryland 95, Catawba 61

Jared Nickens paced the Terrapins with 17 points as they blew past Division II Catawba (North Carolina) on Saturday at the XFINITY Center.

Star point guard Melo Trimble sprained his ankle during the first half, but coach Mark Turgeon said he would have played through the injury if it had been a bigger game.

Freshman guard Anthony Cowan had 15 points, five assists, two steals and two rebounds.

Ohio State 85, Walsh 67

Led by sophomore point guard JaQuan Lyle’s 14 points, the Buckeyes took care of Division II Walsh (Ohio) on Sunday at Value City Arena.

Ohio State led just 40-32 at halftime but used a 16-3 run in the second half to pull away. Kam Williams (13 points), Keita Bates-Diop (12) and Jae’Sean Tate (10) joined Lyle in double figures.

Michigan 77, Armstrong State 49

The Wolverines rolled over Division II Armstrong State (Georgia) on Friday at the Crisler Center.

Moritz Wagner and Zak Irvin both scored 14 points to pace Michigan, and Derrick Walton Jr. added 12 points, seven assists and six rebounds. The game also marked the return of Wolverines great Cazzie Russell, who is now an assistant coach at Armstrong State.

No. 9-ranked Wisconsin did not play an official exhibition over the weekend, but the Badgers tweeted out some stats from their scrimmage against Northern Iowa on Saturday afternoon.

Iowa 95, Regis 73

Peter Jok shredded Division II Regis (Colorado) for 28 points as the Hawkeyes cruised at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Jok was 5-for-7 from 3-point range and converted on 9 of 10 free-throw attempts. Tyler Cook had 15 points and Christian Williams added 11 for Iowa.

Illinois 95, Lewis 51

Six Illini scored in double figures during a 44-point blowout of Division II Lewis (Illinois) on Friday at the State Farm Center.

Jalen Coleman-Lands led all scorers with 16 points. Michael Finke, Maverick Morgan and Malcolm Hill each scored 13 for Illinois.

Penn State 91, Lock Haven 65

Five Nittany Lions scored in double figures in a win over Division II Lock Haven (Pennsylvania) on Friday at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Josh Reaves, Tony Carr and and Mike Watkins all had 15 points. Lamar Stevens scored 14 and Shep Garner added 13 for Penn State. Lock Haven’s Amir Hinton dropped 32 points to lead all scorers.

Northwestern 89, Illinios-Springfield 52

The Wildcats had five players reach double figures in an overwhelming defeat of the Division II Prairie Stars at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

Bryant McIntosh spurred the onslaught with 11 points, six rebounds and five assists, and freshman Isiah Brown led all scorers with 18 points.
