Penn State voted as toughest place to play in the Big Ten by player poll
A handful of Big Ten players have spoken, and Penn State’s Beaver Stadium was voted as the toughest place to play in the conference.
Thirteen Big Ten players were polled by ESPN’s Josh Moyer and six of them voted for Beaver Stadium as the toughest place to play in the conference. Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium received five votes while Ohio State and Wisconsin each received one vote.
“I remember I had my hand in the dirt when we were near the student section, and I could feel the ground shaking,” one player told Moyer anonymously.
Nebraska might not be as hostile as Happy Valley, but one player told Moyer it certainly gets loud in Lincoln, Neb.
“They’re friendly and everything — it’s weird — but it gets really loud there,” a player told Moyer. “They have a homefield advantage for sure.”
