Five Big Ten players were named to the preseason watch list for the Paul Hornung Award on Monday. The honor is given each season to the nation’s most versatile player.
In all, 46 players were named to the watch list, with the ACC leading all conferences with 10 players. In the seven-season history of the Paul Hornung Award, only Jabrill Peppers has won it for the Big Ten. That was in 2016.

- De’Mornay Pierson-El, Nebraska
- Devonte Williams, Indiana
