The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook really likes Ohio State.
That’s clear through its updated Game of the Year lines, released Monday. The book posts point spreads on some of the best college football games of the season in the summer, then updates them as the year goes on.
The Buckeyes are a double-digit favorite in each of their remaining games, including at Wisconsin, Michigan State and Penn State. They’re a 10-point favorite over Michigan on Nov. 26.
Michigan is a big favorite at Michigan State at the end of October, and Iowa is still favored against Wisconsin, Nebraska and Penn State, albeit by about a point in each game.
A college football team typically gets three or four points for being at home, meaning the book thinks Ohio State is six or seven points better than Michigan. Football Outsiders’ S&P+ margin metric correlates closely with the numbers sports books use, and it has Ohio State four points better than Michigan.
