Of ESPN’s 36 experts, only one picks a Big Ten national champion
Thursday night brings the first Big Ten football games of the season (finally). Before everyone gets ready to spend many, many hours on the couch this weekend in front of the TV, check out what ESPN’s experts think will happen this season.
ESPN’s 36 experts made College Football Playoff, national champion and conference champion picks. Clemson was by far the most popular CFP winner pick, collecting 21 votes.
However, only one has a Big Ten national champion: Brett McMurphy chose Ohio State.
When it comes to conference titles, Ohio State and Michigan gobbled up most of the Big Ten votes. Here’s how it went down:
- Ohio State: 22
- Michigan: 10
- Iowa: 3
- Michigan State: 1
Yet again, Michigan State, even though it’s ranked No. 12 and the defending conference champion, will start the season as an underdog.
