Most ‘unstoppable forces’ in college football? PFF says two of them play for Michigan and Indiana
You know that signature move?
The one the opposition is sure is coming, has practiced against, but they still can’t stop?
Mike Renner over at Pro Football Focus recently compiled a list of the 10 singular most unstoppable forces in college football, from attributes to arsenals. And the Big Ten turns up twice, starting with Michigan cornerback Jourdan Lewis, whom he calls “freakishly nimble”:
In addition to showering praise on Louisiana State running back Leonard Fournette’s “truck stick” and Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield’s playmaking skills, Renner also tosses love toward Indiana guard Dan Feeney, arguably the league’s best returning offensive lineman. Or rather, toward his feet:
Big Ten faithful could think of a few more to toss onto the pile, from the motor of Wisconsin linebacker Vince Biegel and the acceleration of Northwestern counterpart Anthony Walker to the legs of Penn State tailback Saquon Barkley. Coming into 2016, the league’s got enough “signature” stars, you feel, especially on the defensive side of the ball, to stitch together a half-dozen Frankenstein monsters.
