When the Big Ten basketball tournament finishes Sunday, another tournament will be raring to face off.
The bracket for the men’s Big Ten hockey tournament was released Saturday evening, the same night the men’s basketball tournament finals set for Sunday.
Minnesota and Wisconsin sit atop the bracket, claiming the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, respectively. Also making the tournament are Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and Michigan State (the No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6. seeds, respectively).
The Gophers claims the top mark with a 14-5-1 record, while the Badgers follow closely behind with a 12-8 record. Both Wisconsin and Minnesota will get first round byes in the tournament.
Ohio State, even though beating Wisconsin in the season finale, finished a game behind the Badgers at 11-8-1. Penn State finished a game behind the Buckeyes as well, with a 10-9-1 record.
