College basketball returns in a big way tonight as several Big Ten teams start their seasons with marquee matchups.
In the same Armed Forces Classic event in Hawaii, No. 12 Michigan State will face No. 10 Arizona at 7 p.m., followed by No. 11 Indiana against No. 3 Kansas.
Thirteen of the Big Ten’s 14 teams will be in action Friday night (Nebraska opens its season Sunday night against Sacramento State). Though most of the games don’t have the same intrigue as Michigan State-Arizona and Indiana-Kansas, it will be the first real look at how the 2016-17 season could go.
Most Big Ten teams are expected to win their openers, but not all of them have betting lines. For the ones that do, here is what Las Vegas is predicting tonight, according to the Westgate SuperBook:
No. 12 Michigan State (-1.5) vs. No. 10 Arizona* – 7 p.m.
No. 11 Indiana (+5.5) vs. No. 3 Kansas – 9 p.m.
Maryland (-21) vs. American – 6:30 p.m.
Minnesota (-9.5) vs. Louisiana-Lafayette – 8 p.m.
Ohio State (-16.5) at Navy – 9 p.m.
Illinois (-24) vs. Southeast Missouri State – 9 p.m.
