The Heisman Trophy picture is becoming much clearer as the college football regular season winds down.
Through 10 weeks, there is one overwhelming favorite, but a couple of Big Ten players are still in the mix as potential spoilers, according to the latest Heisman odds released by the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook on Sunday.
Louisville’s Lamar Jackson is a huge favorite, with 1-30 odds listed. The next closest player is Washington quarterback Jake Browning, who has 10-1 odds.
Michigan’s Jabrill Peppers is tied for the third best odds alongside Clemson’s Deshaun Watson, who are both listed with 12-1 odds to raise the trophy next month. Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett has seen his Heisman chances diminish over the last few weeks, and though he helped Ohio State to a blowout win over Nebraska on Saturday, he is now listed with 25-1 odds.
Penn State running back Saquon Barkley’s push to get into the Heisman conversation has seen his odds go from 80-1 in March to 30-1 currently. He had 167 yards on the ground against Iowa on Saturday was also listed as one of FOX Sports’ Stewart Mandel’s top five Heisman candidates following Penn State’s latest win.
