About a month ago, Class of 2019 tackle prospect John Olmstead announced the top 10 schools that he is considering. On Sunday, Olmstead trimmed that list, naming his top 5.
Among his remaining contenders are Big Ten schools Michigan, Minnesota and Rutgers. The other two programs are Ole Miss and Notre Dame.
Olmstead made this announcement on Twitter, saying that he will commit on Friday:

Before he shortened the list, the offensive lineman from St. Joseph High School in Metuchen, N.J., had seven Big Ten schools in his top 10. Along with the three programs in his top 5, Olmstead was considering Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin and Nebraska. He also eliminated LSU, which was in his top 10.
The 6-foot-6, 290-pound Olmstead is a 4-star prospect and ranked as the No. 168 overall player in his class, the No. 18 tackle and the fourth-best prospect in New Jersey, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
