ESPN’s Joe Lunardi released his latest “bracketology” projections Thursday, and they’re full of Big Ten teams.
Though no Big Ten team is seeded higher than No. 5 and has one team in a play-in game, there are nine teams from the conference in the projected field, plus two more that just miss the cut.
Here are all the Big Ten teams included in bracketology:
Wisconsin — No. 5 (West)
Purdue — No. 6 (West)
Minnesota — No. 7 (Midwest)
Michigan State — No. 9 (Midwest)
Indiana — No. 9 (South)
Michigan — No. 9 (East)
Maryland — No. 10 (East)
Northwestern — No. 11 (South)
Illinois — No. 11 (East, play-in game vs. Rhode Island)
Nebraska — Next four out
Ohio State — Next four out
Lundardi’s projections have Michigan State reaching the NCAA Tournament for the 20th consecutive year and Northwestern qualifying for the first time in program history.
