After a busy second week, ESPN seems to be adding more faith in the top Big Ten teams.
Ohio State moved up one spot to No. 3, Michigan held strong at sixth and Wisconsin jumped one spot to No. 9 in ESPN’s new rankings released Sunday.
ESPN was clearly influenced by “style points,” especially after some ranked teams (Clemson and Georgia) struggled against lesser teams. Iowa, which routed Iowa State, also moved up a spot, from No. 18 to 17. Michigan State, which was off, stayed No. 13.
Not surprisingly, Alabama is a clear No. 1, with Florida State next at No. 2. Clemson dropped two spots to No. 5 and Georgia fell nine spots to No. 18.
