College GameDay is on the move again. And for the first game of November, it’s heading back to familiar territory.
After a visit to Salt Lake City for the Washington-Utah game, College GameDay is headed into SEC Country. Lee Corso and the crew will head to Baton Rouge, La., for an SEC West showdown between Alabama and LSU.
Nebraska-Ohio State, a ranked matchup, was a possible option.

GameDay has been a fixture at the annual LSU-Alabama game. Including the 2016 contest, this marks the fifth time in the last six years that GameDay has been at the game.
Both schools were off this week. Alabama picked up a 33-14 win against Texas A&M in its last game, while LSU beat Ole Miss 38-21. This will be the third time this year Alabama has been on College GameDay, as the ESPN pregame program was on hand at the Texas A&M game earlier this season. It is the first time LSU has been featured.
It will also be Alabama’s 38th appearance on the show, passing Florida for the most appearances by a single school. This is the 26th time LSU has been on the show.
Kickoff between the rivals is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Alabama has won the last five matchups between them.
